Chief of Army Air Service Completes 6000-Mile Trip

Brig. Gen. William Mitchell, head of the army air service, finished a 6,000 mile inspection flight from Washington on January 21 to Washington on March 2. He crossed the southern border and reached Toronto and Ottawa, tracing a path across the northland. The report notes ski equipped aircraft could land in northern regions despite snow.
