Iowa City professor Charles Weller dies after long illness
Charles H. Weller 57 head of the University of Iowa journalism department since its founding in 1924 died after an extended illness in Iowa City. Surviving are his widow Rose and four children. He held multiple university posts and contributed to the growth of Iowa's enrollment and influence. He was born in Tyrone New York on November 7 1870 and married Rose Elmer Bradley in 1905.
