Louis Bruey 50, a Fairfield farmer charged with first degree murder for the December shooting of Sam McNeese hanged himself in the Jefferson county jail. A coroners verdict said he died by strangulation while mentally unbalanced. His funeral is set for Tuesday at the First Methodist Church in Fairfield.
