A large crowd attended the Baptist Red annual meeting last night as officers reported a active year. Treasurer and benevolent funds were described as very gratifying. Plans were made for the Boston Baptist association convention in August with 18 churches expected to send delegates. Officers elected included three deacons and three deaconesses: J C Homan tewell Charles J Nelson Mrs Kirk Hawk Mrs Merrit Moore and Mrs George Hrotherto. JW Shaw re elected and Carl Englund added to the board. The music committee was chaired by Mrs RK. The meeting featured a varied musical program including piano duets by Gerald and Virginia Laughtin, songs by Miss Wilse Miss Bessie Abel and piano solos by Virginia zhlin and Thomas Hawkins. A vocal selection was sung by Miss ge McNeos.

Four Hurt in Road Accident Near Rockford City
Four people were injured in an auto crash about four miles south of the city this morning. Mrs. G. J. Pearson of Burlington Iowa was most seriously hurt, with an x ray to check for a possible leg fracture. Driver Zelma Crow of Rockford blamed defective steering for the collision with the coupe driven by Mr. Lee Staufflebaum and his companions.

Minor Case to Supreme Court in Iowa Assault Conviction
Raymond N. Klass of Cedar Rapids filed an appeal in a late supreme court case stemming from an assault and battery charge against deputy sheriff Ray Rodabaugh. 27 Are Arrested in Sioux City Liquor Raids
Twenty seven persons were arrested and quantities of liquor seized in a clean up by federal prohibition agents and Sioux City police.
