Lawyer Sues Bridge Company for $20,000
Keokuk June 25 suit filed in the superior court by F. T. Hughes against the Keokuk and Hamilton Bridge company seeking 20000 as payment for legal services. Fire Damages Drying Seed In Garage
A fire in a second floor room of the Schumek garage at 205 North Pine street around 8 20 this forenoon caused under 25 dollars worth of bluegrass seed to burn. The seed owned by Gault Brothers was not insured. About 200 bushels stored in the building were spread over the floor to dry. Fire blamed on heat from a stove pipe in a room through which the pipe ran to the roof. Only the seed in that room was damaged.
