Highway 25 Re-routed North Of Creston In Iowa
Ames, July 26. The state highway commission re located Highway 25 on the west route north of Creston. Four miles of No 25 will be moved new route runs two miles west from Bullard corner then north to the present route toward Adair county. The path bypasses Crestmoor Golf club and Summit Lake eliminating three corners. This follows earlier relocation of No 16 north of Afton on July 13, making all Union county primary highways permanently located.

Road Bonds On Ballot In Mills County Today
Mills county voters decide whether to issue primary road bonds to finish surfacing highways including No. 34. A yes would leave Adams and Union counties the only mud sections of No. 34 in the state with Union voting strongly against the measure. Accident Victim Is Recovering After Creston Drive Crash
Marion Wilbur of Creston is recovering from injuries after a Sunday automobile crash in which Michael H. Decker of Creston was fatally hurt. Kay Johnson, the other occupant, sprained a hip and uses crutches. Decker’s funeral plans are not yet complete. Johnson reportedly drove the car when it left the road near the Bell Wray corner northeast of Creston.

John J. Bradley formerly of Creston writes his parents from Hollywood California describing a holdup at the shoe store where he works. He and the manager were tied and robbed of a diamond ring watch and cash as the robbers fled in a waiting car.
