Robert Lincoln Found Dead at Summer Home
Robert T. Lincoln, son of President Abraham Lincoln, was found dead in bed at his summer home Hildene Manchester Vermont. He had been in frail health and would have turned 89 on August 1. Servants discovered his death after calling him at 9 a.m. yesterday and a physician estimated he died several hours earlier. He lived at Hildene since May and took daily rides. An aunt, Emily Helm, sister of his mother, remains in Lexington Kentucky. Funeral arrangements continued on page 8.

Death linked to shove on pavement in Iowa case
Muscatine July 26. Formal charges planned today against Valentine Geltz for causing death of Jett Thompson 48, colored, after an argument with Geltz’s brother Jake. Coroner’s jury ruled Thompson died from a fall on the pavement after a blow or shove by Valentine Geltz. Thompson staggered, tripped on a curb break, and died about 15 minutes later. Jake Geltz detained then released after inquest.
