The Creston municipal band gave a 7 30 pm concert on the lawn of the old high school on Elm street with about a fair crowd. The band, funded under a new state law, has about twenty players and runs a junior section. They perform weekly at McKinley or Rainbow parks and rotate locations by city council. The program mixed popular and classical pieces including Hostrauer’s March and Crown Prince Overture. The next concert is at 4 pm Sunday, with a second evening concert scheduled for Wednesday July 21 on the same lawn.
