D W Higbee aged 82 a longtime Creston attorney at 1100 North Oak Street remains active in law having spent the day in court on a probate matter. Born January 26 1845 he moved from Pennsylvania to Iowa then studied at the University of Iowa and Michigan and was admitted to the Iowa bar in 1866.

James A. Peery died this morning at 9 o clock at his home southeast of Creston in Grant township. He was 59 and born on the same farm. Survived by three sisters Louisa Jennie and Mrs. S E Peterson and three brothers George Sam and Milt. Funeral arrangements have not been made.

Child Dies of Injuries in Truro Horse Accident
Word arrives from Creston of the death of the Brant family's oldest daughter, aged 10, of Truro. She was thrown from a horse Tuesday afternoon and died two hours later. Mrs. Brant was formerly Miss Eva Hammans.
