Des Moines Iowa January 25 Associated Press reports Sheriff Winfred Robb did not surrender 14704.13 in funds he collected for condemnations. State checker also notes W B George the county delinquent tax collector earned about 14000 in commissions beyond his salary.

The body of Mrs. Kate Torsell, widow who vanished amid allegations she was killed by her rejected suitor Arthur Foster, was recovered from a drainage canal near Lockwood today.
Imperial Wizard Hiram Evans of the Ku Klux Klan appeared in Chicago court to block actions against Klansmen in the city. The Associated Press reported Evans sought to prevent further legal moves at the courthouse in this case.
