Farmer Arrested On Arson Charge Near Mt. Vernon
Wilbur Walton a 30 year old farmer living near Mt Vernon Iowa was arrested at Grand Junction and jailed on a charge of arson. He allegedly participated in fires that destroyed property near Mt Vernon in recent months. City seeks writ to force concealed weapon permits
A city attorney filed for a writ of mandamus in district court to compel Sheriff Fred Collings to issue concealed weapon permits to Mayor M. L. Bart Chief W. A. McKee Frank Dennis Charles Case and Harley L Harshaw.
