Across Chicago St Louis Kansas City and New York, live and dressed poultry, eggs, butter, and cheese prices shift with receipts and demand. Fowl, turkeys, ducks, and geese move amid fluctuating premiums and regional variations.
Chicago cash grain report lists wheat values for No 3 red No 1 hard and No 2 hard with sample grades and hard yellow figures. Corn prices show No 2 mixed at 77 4 and No 3 mixed at 75 with various higher No 5 and No 6 mixed bids and incomplete yellow figures.

Wall Street mid day offerings on Baldwin Hudson Motors American Woolen and Radio fell 2 to 3 points. Industrials weakened early gains of Atchison Union Pacific and Reading as call loan renewals dropped to 4 percent, lowest in over three months, with some short selling extending. The closing was firm.
Chicago Livestock reports a mixed day with best grade steers firm while other cattle dull. Hog markets opened steady then slipped. top hogs reached 12.20 with bulk 11.76 to 12.10 as outside demand waned. Sheep and lamb receipts rose to about 11,900, with prices generally steady to higher for certain weights and preparations.
Steers sold in multiple lots with quantities and prices from 11.60 to 12.20. Cows and heifers traded at 5.50 to 9.90. Heavy and medium hogs moved around 11.90 to 12.10 with lighter weights near 12.19. Western lambs natives clipped lambs and feeders appear with varied weights and prices. estimated receipts list cattle hogs and sheep totals.
Omaha livestock prices show hog receipts at 3,500 with 11.50 to 11.75 for 140 to 200 pound hogs and sows 10.25 to 10.75 while cattle receipts total 6,000 with steer prices around 8.25 to 9.75 and a 1,235 pound steer trading near 10.25. odd yearlings at 11.50.
Steady to firm demand drives cattle prices with heifers around 8.50 and cows 5.00 to 6.50, bulls 5.75 to 6.25, veal up to 10.50, stockers scarce at 6.75 to 7.75. Sheep receipts 5,500. lambs strong up to 25 cents, red wood lambs 12.40 to 12.50, ewe 6.75, feeders steady, feeding lambs up to 12.85.
Hogs receipts 11,000 market steady to 10¢ higher top 12.00 bulk 11.65 11.86. Cattle receipts 4,000 steady to 15¢ lower, steers 8.50 9.75 top 10.25. cows and heifers 4.00 9.25. calves 6.50 12.50. stockers and feeders 6.25 8.50. Sheep receipts 3,000 market strong to 15¢ higher. lambs 11.75 12.50. ewes 5.50 6.75.
U S bonds close with Liberty 3s at 101.3 and various 4s around 100 to 103.14. Treasury 5s reach 103.18 and 4s at 110.14, with several issues listed for quick reference.

Locals report W. R. Bell injured yesternly in a wagon fall. He wrenched his knee and sustained bruises but plans to be out today. Several residents visit relatives and shop, including Harwood and Culver families, with trips to Ottumwa Lenox Clarinda Council Bluffs and Kent for short visits.
Five hundred Minnesota dairy men have been placed on the National Honor Roll of the National Dairy Association for achieving a herd production average of 300 pounds or more butterfat per cow.
