Chicago butter and eggs improve with higher creamery extras and rising eggs while grain futures show May wheat at 119 3/4 and July 112.
Orange City Iowa George Dunlop county agent of Sioux county says the new name plates ordered by the Farm Bureau are popular with members at township meetings. A limited number of townships have been reached but nearly everyone present has ordered one. Plates are free to all in good standing members and new members signing up this fall are also entitled to one.

Community Singing followed the business session, with plans to feature it as the day’s highlight. Thirteen bridge tables yielded honors to Mrs. L. D. Rivenburg and Mrs. Carl Boone. The next committee for Lady Elksday includes Mrs. Charles McColl, Mrs. Florence Spurr, and Mrs. Mary Porter. Myron Smith and Joe Richardson will lead singing, with the next meeting set for 2 o clock to allow more Community Singing time.

A Fordson Power Farming Day program was held at the I O O F hall under local dealer C B Elliott. Speakers included John Foster of South Bend Indiana L G Ball of South Bend and W W War saw of Des Moines plus others. Six reels of Educational Films on power farming were shown and Crestonian Orchestra played during lunch with free lunch served from 12 to 1 o clock.
Johnny Bass of New York challenges local wrestlers and boxers in Griswold. He claims he is a fighter and aims to meet Clarence Collins of the railroad shops or Charles Turner. Bass recently stopped Buck Jaqua in the second round at Maryville Missouri and plans to fight on the 16th or 18th.
A. A. Willis presents a $25 check to the Creston Fire Department thanking Chief H. W. Fisher and crews for saving his building during the Schmuck's Garage fire incident the other morning. The department expresses its appreciation for the gesture.
Eugene Mulford is today reported much improved and getting along very nicely during recovery from a gunshot wound sustained while out hunting.

A new USDA one reel film titled The Horse in Motion analyzes horse gaits using high speed photography. It compares normal and slow motion footage, showing draft horses, hunters and cavalry mounts, with demonstrations by Dandy Dude and U S Cavalry troops at Fort Myer. Blood evidence on her sweater and handkerchief is questioned as she claims it is her own blood. Mrs Wells fled a hotel Sunday night shortly before Pettit's body was discovered among his shotguns and firearms in a huntsman’s arsenal. She told neighbors Pettit beat her after a quarrel.
