Beulah Ladies Aid Hosts Social and Family News
The Beulah Ladies Aid was entertained by Mrs. Ben Rusk on Thursday afternoon. Edna Huss visited with cousins Beulah and Mary Huss of Afton. Lorimer callers included Mr. and Mrs. Leon Brown and others. An infant daughter Edna Pauline Handley of Lorimer died, with friends offering sympathy.

Obituary of Mrs. A. C. Canfield
Mary A. Still was born August 13, 1839 in Camden Michigan and died December 28 1921 at the Soldier's Home in Marshalltown Iowa aged 82 years 4 months and 15 days. She married Alanson C. Canfield October 25 1855 in Hillsdale County Michigan and had four children three of whom preceded her. Her husband died about twenty years earlier. She leaves one daughter Mrs L. Lucas of Kent twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was a Dunkard for 45 years and endured Civil War hardships with her soldier husband. She is mourned as mother and friend and now rests in peace.

Regular W. C. T. U. Meeting Held Tuesday
The regular Women’s Christian Temperance Union meeting met at Mrs. Bonus’s home on North Maple Street Tuesday afternoon. Devotions led by Mrs. Dyare, program by Mrs. Ryan with a paper on child protection from labor, Briggs on Over the Hill from the Poor House, and a talk by Mrs. Watson on Bible views. One new member joined, reports from committees were read, the usual collection taken, and other business items discussed.

Married 57 Years In Greenfield Celebration
Mr and Mrs Jacob L Pierce marked their fifty seventh wedding anniversary. He nears ninety three, she in her eighties. The couple, married in Washington PA, moved to Iowa in 1877 and Greenfield in 1886. Four of six children survive including Mrs Roy Cole Mrs Tina Gaird Thomas L Pierce and Bert Pierce. Jacob was a longtime hunter traveling distances to check traps.
