Des Moines Ind Aug 21 Gov Kendall expects to clear his desk and leave next Monday for six weeks to two months on the Pacific coast for rest with Mrs Kendall. A Des Moines Capital story suggested resignation. Kendall denies plans to resign though physicians urged immediate rest. If he leaves office or resigns, Lt Gov Hammill would assume duties for the interim.
