Miss Dorothy Newcomb resigned from Crest national bank. Mrs. Irene Strain and Mrs. Blanche James returned from Council Bluffs after the American Legion auxiliary convention. Walter Kier family went to Des Moines for a funeral. Mrs. Kerman Caskey leaves Lenox for Chicago after visiting her parents.
Miss Lola Reed returned home Friday after three weeks visiting friends in Des Moines. Miss Helen McCue, visiting in Kansas City two weeks, is due back tomorrow. Several Greenfield and Orient residents joined the American Legion auxiliary in Council Bluffs and plan further travel. Mrs Alta J. Banning and her son Ralph with Everett Miller depart for a westward automobile trip visiting Sterling Denver Seattle and Spokane with Banning returning in six weeks to Dodson Montana. Amelia Chute of Afton was in Creston Friday visiting friends.
Mr and Mrs W H Montgomery left last night for Burlington to spend the weekend visiting friends. Mr and Mrs George Wright and daughter Lucille of St Joseph MO are visiting at the home of Mrs Wrights parents Mr and Mrs Joe Frus 504 Buckeye Street
