Earl Stumbo Drowns Near Humboldt Iowa
Earl Stumbo, 32, fell from a dam while fishing on the east Des Moines river near Humboldt and drowned. The body was recovered. He had lived in Humboldt eight months, worked in a barber shop, and is survived by his widow, one daughter, his father, two sisters, and a brother. Funeral will be held at his former home in Boone. Two men were jailed Sunday on intoxication charges. one fined 10 dollars and costs, the other 15 dollars and costs.
