Adair Approves New Road Plan Near Greenfield
The Adair county board of supervisors approved a six mile east of Greenfield road project after a meeting at the courthouse attended by delegates from Union and Orient townships. The route begins six miles east of Greenfield on Primary 2 and runs south seven miles into Union township, then west one mile to Creston via Cherry Street. Chariton Man Found Slain at Glenwood
Chariton man C. E. Clouser was found dead in weeds near a Glenwood tourist camp. A restaurant owner identified Clouser as one of two men who visited Tuesday evening with a companion described as about 25, five feet ten, red faced with short red hair. Edward Clouser of Chariton, brother of the deceased, arrived with the body and sheriff Demoss orders a manhunt for the companion.
