Charles A. Anderson, 74, died at 5 30 Wednesday afternoon at Greater Community hospital. He moved to Creston from Kanorado two years ago and lived with his brother Oscar Anderson. He leaves a daughter Nettie Anderson and a brother Oscar, plus several grandchildren. Funeral Friday at 10 at McGregor Bros and Coens chapel with burial in Macksburg Cemetery.

Burlington Bakers Seek Higher Wages In New Contract
Burlington bakers have asked for about a $54 weekly wage increase and day work in a new contract submitted to the bakeries. The companies declined to meet terms. Body of Cave City cave victim Floyd Collins recovered
In Cave City, Kentucky, April 23, the body of Floyd Collins was recovered from the limestone shaft at Crystal Cave after being pinned by rock since January 30. Army Regiment Plans Park Overnight Before Des Moines Training
The Seventeenth Infantry of the U S regular army at Ft. Crook Neb will spend a night at McKinley park in early May while en route to Ft. Des Moines for summer training.
