Franklin Rose, an air mail pilot on his first Elko Nevada to Boise Idaho trip, was found after 24 hours missing. Mother of Creston Man Dies in Nebraska
George Hawker of Creston received word Wednesday of his mother Mrs. E. A. Hawker's death at the home of her daughter Mrs. DeHart in Norfolk Nebraska. Hawker lived there for years and left Creston about ten years ago. Funeral arrangements are announced to be held Friday in Hastings Town with services also to be held here.

74 Year Old Man Hikes for Magazine Prize
Des Moines reports 74 year old W H Chapman completing the final lap of a 16 000 mile trek to win a 5 000 magazine prize. Beginning July 10 1923 from Milwaukee he crossed the continent visiting the Canadian Rockies western coast New Orleans Florida and back to Des Moines He expects to reach Milwaukee by July 10 1926 having worn out 10 pairs of shoes on his bike journey.

Missing School Teacher Returns Home Married
Mason City reports Miss Alice Wilson a teacher, missing two weeks, returned to her mother on Fifth street northeast and said she wed Forest City resident Guy Miller the day before. Three children aged three months, two years, and five years died in a house fire at the Oran Ornduff residence in Princeton Missouri. Their mother suffered burns but was expected to recover. The blaze occurred early today about 15 miles south of Lineville.

Burlington Crew Makes Fast Run From Omaha
Ten cars of silk arrived at the Union Pacific transfer in Omaha at 1 23 this morning and were delivered to the Burlington for shipment over the Creston division. Nineteen cars hauled by engine 2835 under Engineer Keisling and Conductor Briley reached Cres ton at 3 36 this morning. Five year old injured in farm horse accident near Creston
William Rechtsteiner a five year old on the H A Wessels farm south of Creston was crushed by a horse on a bridge. He suffered a severe leg injury and, after examination at Creston, had the left leg amputated above the knee at Greater Community hospital. He rests well and is reported in satisfactory condition.
