A long living tree near Norris City, claimed to sprout from a 1830s spring grove linked to a boy companion who helped General Jackson in the War of 1812. The trunk is about thirty feet in circumference and 2 feet high with a large hollow used as a henhouse and dog kennel. The pair once trained on the Pierce farm and the tree is now 105 years old.
