The Middlesex County Fall Convention of the W O T U will be held at the Congregational Church in Woodbridge on Thursday September 26 with Mrs Wm Perrine as secretary. Rev Charles F Taylor of Westport Conn former pastor of Cranbury Second Presbyterian has accepted the pastorate at Greenwich Second Congregational. Rev D F Giles of Milford N Y will preach in Plainsboro town hall on Sunday. he is a candidate for Plainsboro church pastorate.

Mrs Mary Katherine Snedeker formerly of Cranbury died Saturday evening September seventh at her daughter’s home in Livingston Manor New Brunswick aged eighty She was the widow of Cornelius Snedeker member of Snedeker Outcast Co and a longtime First Reformed Church of New Brunswick member Survived by seven children and a sister Funeral services were held at her home Tuesday with Rev Jasper Hogan and burial in Cranbury Second Presbyterian cemetery

William Greenwald Indicted In Chicken Theft Case
Local report says William Greenwald has been indicted for stealing chickens. On July 26 a crew of youths chased a man with a bag. Julius Romberg, Greenwald's hired man, was captured with poultry. Greenwald fled and was later identified. Romberg pleaded not guilty. bail set at $500 for each man.

Cranbury Public School Opens Doors for New Term
The Cranbury public school launched the 1912 1913 term on Monday September 9 with about 180 pupils and seven graduates. Changes in staff include Miss Elizabeth Fewamith leaving for Philadelphia and Miss Georgia Nutt moving to Collingswood. New year roster lists Miss Anna M Cherry as principal and Floyd W Evans supervising principal among others. Plainsboro also opened with principal Miss Ethel Woodruff and Miss Luella Hultz teaching lower grades.

Monrose Township opened its schools on Monday with about 280 pupils enrolled. Supervising principal Harris A. Jamison oversees Prospect Plains and Rhode Hall staff. principals include Miss Alma Grove, Miss Carrie Davison, Miss Kathleen Reed, Miss Lenora Grove, Miss Rebecca Allen, Miss Clara Huffington, and Miss Nellie Delaney across several schools. The Teachers Professional Circle meets at Prospect Plains this afternoon. Waterman and Waterbury of Buffalo install heating and ventilation in Monroe School to finish by October 1. Matchaponix School House gains a new concrete foundation and three-quarter acre playground. Miss Sara Hoffman of Jamesburg serves as substitute at Dey Grove this week.
