Second Presbyterian Chapel Opens After Remodel
The Second Presbyterian Chapel reopened for Sunday school with new hardwood floors chairs and memorial windows. Melvene Dey daughter of Mr and Mrs Irving W Dey Pueblo Colorado and her mother visiting grandparents recited an original poem praising the Sunday school return. Addresses were given by superintendent E S Barclay and John Silvers with Miss Anna Schock singing.

Band II Enjoys Open Air Reception For Members And Guests
Isaac Hoffman leader of Goodwins Band hosted a Saturday evening reception for band members wives sweethearts and friends with about one hundred attendees. In the New York Gazette May 9 1768 John Mercereau of the New Blazing Star New York and John Barnhill Elm Street Philadelphia announce two daily stage wagons moving Powles-Hook Ferry to Philadelphia in two days each way. They plan sunrise departures on Mondays and Thursdays, with a post at Prince Town for passenger exchanges. Fare is ten shillings to Prince Town plus ten to Philadelphia. ferriage is free. They will operate with two wagons and four horse sets, stressing safety and speed, offering five day round trips with two nights in Philadelphia.
