PTA elects officers at annual meeting
The annual meeting of the Parent-Teacher Association was held at the school building on Tuesday, when officers for the coming year were elected. They are President Mrs. W. N. Hughes, Vice President Mrs. Richard Mason, Secretary Miss Helen Forman, Treasurer Mrs. Franklin Bennett. The next meeting will be Tuesday November 20.

Woman With a Hundred Pockets Sells Out at Methodist Event
The Methodist entertainment on Tuesday evening was a success. The Woman With a Hundred Pockets sold all wares and surpassed expectations. Rev. and Mrs. H F Doran sang, Harvey Wicoff sang with Gertrude Harder, and Miss Harder played a piano solo. Cake coffee and sandwiches sold well and Apollo Lodge members donated a collection to Mrs Doran.

Hela for Murder Arrest of William Alexander in Freehold
William Alexander, a colored man, shot and killed John Mosley in Freehold on Saturday night while a bullet aimed at Sonny Williams struck Mosley during a fight with Mamie Cole. He was captured at 8:30 Monday in Plainsboro after hiding and surrendered without resistance. He is jailed in Freehold awaiting grand jury action.
