The towns raised over 2700 dollars on an 1800 dollar campaign allotment for the YMCA War Work drive, a record over-subscription of about 50 percent. Walter Snedeker Dies in Camp Dix Lumber Truck Accident
Walter Snedeker a seventeen year old from Jamesburg died at Camp Dix after a lumber truck accident. He was struck in the head by a turning lumber support as he assisted with a delivery for Perrine & Buckelew.
