Missionary Society Meetings Set for Saturday and Today

The Foreign Missionary Society of the First Presbyterian Church will meet in the chapel Saturday afternoon November fourth. The subject is Syria and the program is in charge of Miss R. Ella Chamberlin and Mrs. Claudius Hammond. The Home Missionary Society of the Second Church meets this afternoon with Mrs. Mershon. The subject is Mexicans in the United States.

Irish orator Michael J. Fanning to speak in Philadelphia church

Hon Michael J Fanning a famed Irish orator of Philadelphia will address the First Presbyterian church next Friday evening November tenth under the Woman's Christian Temperance Union. He delivered his sixteenth thousandth anti liquor speech on September 6 1910 and is known across the nation. He has long held leadership in temperance groups and advocates private judgment while respecting differing reform methods.

Entertainment by Young Ladies Guild at First Presbyterian

The Young Ladies Guild of the First Presbyterian Church hosted an evening at Mr. and Mrs. John B. Perrine with a Crescent Orchestra performance and readings by Mrs. J. J. Bradley and Miss Sara Perrine. The program included The Family Album by Mrs. Perrine and Miss Mary Edsall and a rhyme experiences piece by Clara and Anna Chamberlin and others.

Obituary: Cranbury Painter Teane Bogart Dies at 60

Teane Bogart of Cranbury died at his home Monday after three years of ill health. A painter by trade, he ran a local business for forty years and led Cranbury Council No. 60 of the American Mechanics. He is survived by a widow and eleven children. Funeral was at the Methodist church with rites by the lodge, followed by interment in Second Presbyterian cemetery.

Death of Eliza S. Konover at Dutch Neck

Eliza S. Konover aged 67 died at her home near Dutch Neck on Friday. She was daughter of late Judge William G. Bergen and survived by two sisters, three brothers including former Mercer County Sheriff Spaf ford Bergen, and three sons. Funeral services were held at her son F. W. Konover’s Dutch Neck home with Rev. N. T. Brown officiating. Interment followed at Dutch Neck cemetery.

Daniel Braclet Dies at 75 in Prospect Plains Home

Daniel Braclet died Saturday at his Prospect Plains home after a long illness. He was 75 and survived by two children. Funeral services were held at St James Ames church in Jamesburg on Monday with interment at St James cemetery, under A B Cole Son & Co. Funeral notice appears in local listings.

Miss Olive Petty hosted a Halloween party for her daughter with Mrs Petty in attendance.
