Fire Damages Cranbury Home In Evening Blaze

A small fire discovered about 6:30 last evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Perrine on Cranbury Neck started in the kitchen chimney and burned a large hole in the wall. Neighbors and the Cranbury Fire Company contained the flames. Past Councilors Association of Middlesex County Junior Order of United American Mechanics plans a May 6 meeting in Cranbury hosted by Cranbury Council No. 60. Several local residents attended a social gathering at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Pullen with five hundred in entertainment and refreshments served afterward.

Mary Barnes Dies at Larches North Cranbury

Mary E. Barnes aged fourteen died at the Larches in North Cranbury on Sunday morning. Her body was sent to Myster, Connecticut, where interment was made.

William Messler Dies at 83 in Monmouth Junction

William Messler died at his home in Monmouth Junction at age 83. Services were held Wednesday afternoon from his residence with Rev. J. B. Clark officiating. Interment followed at Dayton.

Serious Injury After Hay Load Collision Near Prospect Plains

Amandus Ulrich, traveling from Union Valley with hay, encountered an autotruck near Prospect Plains. The truck halted to move his horses, but when freed Ulrich urged them to go and they bolted into a ditch. He was thrown and suffered serious injuries, with a severely mangled shoulder. Dr. H. C. Symmes and Dr. Reddan were summoned from Trenton.
