Abel S. Edsall died at his South Cranbury home Tuesday at noon at age eighty two after about four weeks illness. Born in Ridgefield he worked in New York iron business and helped build the High Bridge for fourteen years. Survived by his widow and two Cranbury relatives. Funeral today at 2 o'clock with Rev. J. E. Curry officiating. Interment in Brainerd cemetery by A. S. Cole, Son and Company.

Mrs Applegate Dies Sudden While Wiping Dishes
Caroline Applegate age 58 died of heart disease Saturday at her daughter’s home Wyckoff’s Mills. She collapsed while wiping dishes. Dr Franklin could not aid. Survived by daughters Mrs Harry Howell Mrs Harry Hendrickson and Mrs Hand and son William Applegate. Husband Alfred died six years ago. Funeral Tuesday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with service by Dr Tyzek.

Shooting of 20 year old in New Brunswick parlor mishap
August Waddell, 20, was shot while handling a pistol at Elias T. Bennett’s Railroad Avenue home in New Brunswick. The bullet passed through the abdomen into the liver and he remains in serious condition at St. Peter’s Hospital. Waddell, a Rue farm worker, was visiting Miss Minnie Bennett when the accident occurred. Nurses say the trajectory suggests accidental discharge, not self harm.
