The church announces Sunday School and Men’s Bible Class at 10 o'clock led by the pastor. Rev. J. E. Curry preaches at morning service on the topic How to Make Good from Jeniah 48:18. A prayer meeting follows Friday night at eight.
Prayer meeting at 8 o'clock this Friday evening led by Mr Geo B Mersdon. Sunday School at 10 A M with first bell at 9 45. Mr Lewis Chamberlin to lead devotional exercises, Divine Worship at 11 A M with preaching by the Pastor. The Stitch and Chatter meets with Mrs James Dey on Wednesday July 26 at 2 P M. Car owners with space for riders asked to stop at the room.
Schultz Memorial M E announces Sunday School at 10 A M followed by Morning Worship at 11 A M Prayer meeting is set for Thursday at 8 P M.
A special meeting of the C. E. Society of the Second Presbyterian Church is set for Sunday evening at 7 o'clock. Miss Melvene Dey will report on the conference recently held at Blairstown.

New Jersey public schools keep agriculture going through summer. Each boy must run a home farm project under a year round agriculture teacher. Last year state farm projects earned 44 783 93 dollars.
Franklin Scott fourteen year old son of Mr and Mrs LeRoy Scott had a narrow escape when he walked in his sleep after a harvest home event in Dayton. He climbed out a window onto the roof and fell to the ground injuring himself but not seriously.
Isaiah W. Wilson of Cranbury BayRegistered Freshman in Delaware Ohio is among new freshmen entering Ohio Wesleyan University this September. The incoming class will be the largest in the school's history with admission still limited to 800 men as women remain closed to admission.
Edward Dolan Fred Hiker Frank Hand Charles Leidtke and Fred Leidtke fished Barnegat on Wednesday and returned home with 80 fine fish.
A party of girls from the Second Presbyterian church are at Camp Brainerd in Manasquan for the week. They left Saturday and will return tomorrow. The camp is supervised by Rev. Frederick Schweitzer Mia E Wilson and Miss Adelaide Tantam. Peter Walton acts as chef for the campers.
An outing of the Country Club was held Saturday with several members driving to Belmar for swimming and then to Asbury Park for dinner. Attendees included Mr. and Mrs. Carleton Campbell, Mr. and Mrs. William Davison, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Spratford, Mr. and Mrs. Ancil Davison, Mr. and Mrs. Asa Davison, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Stults, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Errickson, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Errickson, Mr. and Mrs. Allison Errickson, Mr. Farr Chamberlin, Mr. and Mrs. James Wilson, and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Mershon.
The Harvest Home of Dayton Presbyterian Church is set for August 2. The organizing committee includes Mr. and Mrs. H. R Dey Mr. and Mrs. H. R Farr Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Applegate Mr. and Mrs. Ellison Errickson. A special meeting is called for next Monday afternoon to complete a plan.
A severe electrical storm Friday afternoon struck the barn of William C. Donnell near Hightstown, setting it ablaze and destroying the structure. Four farm horses valued at $150 each, one cow, and a hay crop were killed or ruined. the home was saved by firemen. Loss estimated at $5,000.
The Hightstown Bowling Club resumes activities this season. O. T. Fenton was elected captain at last week’s meeting. Last season the town team defeated strong squads near Asbury Park. The lineup remains the same including Charles Mitchell Raymond C. Stonaker Frank Grover and William Bardel.
In a Chicago Tribune open letter dated June 2 Professor Irving Fisher of Yale argues for prohibition asserting it has largely succeeded and will spread, predicting increased national income and future conversions to the policy. He cites declines in disease vice crime and poverty and cites Harding’s remark about prohibition fading from politics and memory.
Thieves broke into the confectionery shop of Rothschilds & Heyman on Main Street in Hightstown early Sunday, taking about 800 dollars from the safe and cash register. Entry was gained via a back cellar window and the crime is believed to have occurred between 1 and 8 a.m. The burglary was discovered by Mr Rothschilds when opening the business.
Dr. Roger W. Swetland headmaster of Peddie Institute travels with his wife and Miss Ruth Swetland for several weeks of vacation through New York State. Assistant Headmaster R H Rivenburg will run school affairs during the absence while Archibald M Langford departs in September to helm the Howe School at Howe Indiana and direct the summer session.
Sunday afternoon head on collision on State Highway between Cranbury and Hightstown injured Lieut Colonel Dodson chief of staff 61st Division cavalry and Sergeant Michael Bryan. J F Riley wife and two sons and Miss Grace Larson of Fallsington treated after crash. Riley and Larson injured, others unhurt.
Dayton column notes Mr. and Mrs. W. Schoenly and sons Alfred and Austin traveled to New York State visiting Buffalo and Niagara Falls with no bad road experiences. Guests and hosts rotate through local families including Scudder Osborn Vanover Richter Thompson Wenquest and Applegate circles in friendly exchanges.
The voters of Freehold rejected a 250000 bond proposal for a new High School on Broadway by 808 to 46. Overcrowded school housing mirrors other towns as Freehold faces pupil overflow. Middlesex county road improvement bonds of 301000 mature 1934. National City Company of New York bid 301629.09, premium 0.208.
Lieutenant-Commander John Philip Sousa in New York with his band of seventy five pieces before the thirtieth annual tour. After the tour he aims to compose an opera on an American theme with Mary Garden in the principal role. The itinerary spans Montreal, New England, Willow Grove Park Philadelphia, and a fall through the Midwest and South. Also noted are the death of Charles R Miller at seventy three and local potential Democratic freeholder candidates John W. Kelley and Klemmer Kalteisser in New Brunswick.
Allentown 6 defeated Hamilton Square 1 Freehold 7 beat Yardville 3 Hightstown 12 defeated Hopewell 1 Though not league games these results were recorded for Saturday.
Allentown travels to Hightstown while Yardville visits Hamilton Square. Cranbury plays Freehold in a trio of Saturday high school or community matchups with local venues and teams competing.

Cranbury defeated Bordentown 6 to 4 on the road Saturday. Manager Jack Barlow sent Howard Baggaley to the mound, who allowed nine hits but held in key moments. Carter exited in the seventh. Parker finished strong as Cranbury built an early lead and held on for the win.
