A man asked a woman to marry aboard a sea voyage with a playful line about sailing the sea of matrimony. She responded with shy but warm words, coloring cheeks and bringing tears to her eyes as they launched their plan.
Christmas Exercises by Colored Sunday School
A Christmas program by the Colored Sunday school drew a large audience with chants, recitations, duets, and songs including Silent Night and Joy to the World. Interment for Edward Manning followed later at Brainerd Cemetery, Cranbury, with details of his life as an author and traveler.

Interment for Jamesburg Leader Jacob Beubler
Jacob Beubler, a longtime Jamesburg resident and founder of its German Baptist church, died Tuesday after a year of illness. Born in Germany 79 years ago, he emigrated to America 30 years later and married Ernestine Ohler in Germany. He had lived in Jamesburg for 20 years and in Fernwood cemetery Friddy was his interment.
