Cranbury gunners win eleven roosters at Washington's Birthday shoot
At Dayton on Tuesday afternoon six Cranbury shooters claimed eleven of twenty roosters. Winners included W C Danser, J Oehler, Clendon Danser, J H Barclay, A R Wilson, and J W Stout with two or one birds each. Other scorers were Dr W H Mathews, B Lewis, Geo Ford, Forman, Cc T Wales, J Tyrell and J Phillips. Dr Mathews and J Tyrell, of Trenton, hit 50 targets straight in a relay. Oehler and Danser were second with 49. Wilson and David Cole tied for third with 47 breaks.

Farmers and gardeners rely on birds to curb insects and weed seeds. As insects dwindle this season, hang suet high in trees for woodpeckers and other insects eaters and offer seeds and grains to seed eaters like bluebirds and sparrows.
