Miss Thompson II Stricken at Dolan Home

Miss Georgia Thompson, a trained nurse, was taken ill Thursday afternoon at Edward Dolan’s home. She was brought home and is resting, though partly paralyzed and with affected speech.

Woman's Club Meeting with Music and Ireland Talk

The Woman's Club held a pleasant session hosted by Mrs. Curry. Music by a Victrola featured recordings by Miss Elizabeth Lennox including In the Gleaming Cradle Song and Sacrament. Rev. L E Lennox spoke on Ireland and shared memories of a trip there and noted his granddaughter born to a daughter who resides abroad.

Eight A Eight Club Elects Officers At First Meeting

The 8. A. 8. Club held its first meeting at Melvene Dey's home on Saturday January 21 at 3 o'clock. Mrs. E. C. Wilson presided and officers were elected: President Melvene Dey Secretary Helen Carr Treasurer Alberta Grover. Committees were named with Marion Hughes chairing Program and Alberta Grover chairing Refreshments. The second meeting is set for February 4 at Mrs. Earl Wilson's home at 3 o'clock.

Narrow Escape in Washington Accident Involving Cranbury Native

Warren F. Johnson formerly of Cranbury now in Washington DC narrowly escaped death in a city crash on Saturday night. He changed plans to attend a show at the Knickerbocker, while three friends who went to the show were killed. Separate obituary notes report Holmes Perrine, 39, dying at his Windsor-area home, with funeral services and interment coordinated by Cole Son Co. he leaves wife Annie Felter of Cranbury and two children, Holmes jr, Helen, and Katherine.

Cranbury Township Names New Attorney

Assemblyman Wilton T. Applegate of Prospect Plains is chosen township attorney succeeding John P. Kirkpatrick of New Brunswick. Applegate will start at the next township committee meeting.

Cranbury Board of Agriculture elects Spratford chairman

At Cranbury Township meeting January 31 Russell Spratford was chosen as chairman of the County Board of Agriculture with a full committee including Fred Carlson and William Hughes. Other notes cover tax duplicate filings by Nicholas Vreeland and a talk on insect control by Dr T J Headlee.

Income Tax 1921 Returns Forms Now Available

Forms 1040 for individual returns of income for 1921 over $5,000 are at the Newark Collector’s office and branches in Jersey City Paterson New Brunswick Elizabeth and Morris Town. Forms 1040A for income $5,000 or less are also available at these offices. Taxpayers must file by March 16 1922 if using calendar year basis.

Middlesex County Earns 92 Points at Trenton Exhibit

During Agricultural Week at Trenton the event saw Passaic County take the Silver Cup with 94 points and Essex County win the Gold Medal with 93 points. Middlesex County finished with 92 points but no prize.
