Christmas Society and Club Meetings at First Presbyterian
The Christian Endeavor Society of the First Presbyterian Church will meet in the chapel Sunday evening December 22 to discuss What the Coming of Christ has done and will do for the World led by Miss Laure Stults. A Ladies Reading Circle Christmas meeting is set for December 26 with Mrs. Ella Stults. The Corona Club meeting is postponed to January 3 with Mr and Mrs E S Barclay. Notable American Balladist Will Carleton Dies at Brooklyn Home
Will Carleton author of farm and city life ballads died last night at his Brooklyn residence 444 Greene Avenue. Born October 21, 1845 in Hudson Michigan he recently edited Everywhere magazine in Brooklyn and belonged to the Michigan Society Authors' Club New York Press Club and Brooklyn University Club.

Mrs. Percy Egnor Dies By Her Own Hand
Mrs. Percy Egnor committed suicide this morning at her home while alone. Found by her husband who returned to find the scene and her body on the bed. Dr. Van Dyke pronounced her dead. She had long been in ill health and endured much suffering. Survived by husband two children Myra and Russell and a brother W. E. Groves.

The Ladies Reading Circle held its first reception of the 1912 13 season at the home of Mr and Mrs Charles T Hoffman. The event featured Christmas red and green decor, stylish gowns, a refined program including readings and violin numbers, and refreshments. A later bridal notice records Miss Emily Brown and Mr Andrew H Phelps marrying at the Fourth Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church in Brooklyn with a reception at 416 d7uh Street. guests celebrated with gifts as the couple plans to live in Ridgewood New Jersey.
