Mount Leaves Peddie Institute After Twenty Years

Horace Jennings son of former Mayor Frank Jennings of Jamesburg travels to Fort Myer Va for a three month ROTC course to prepare for a regular army commission. He leaves a traffic manager post with George W Helme Co at Helmetta after several years of service and is about 30 years old with numerous friends. He is a graduate of the Rider Moore Stewart Schools of Business in Trenton.

Freight Wreck at Somerville Damages Freight Cars and Coaches
A broken axle on the Jersey Central Railroad at Somerville caused a wreck early Sunday, ruining 20 freight cars and four passenger coaches. One man escaped injury as traffic was tied up for hours. Damage totals run into thousands of dollars as crews moved wreckage. Also listed is a schedule change for the Hightstown Bus service starting Tuesday September 4 with altered departure times from Cranbury and a note to call a residence for travel inquiries.
