The Y P C A of the Second Church will meet Sunday evening. Leader Carleton Campbell will discuss The Consecration of Time. The Circle meets next Wednesday with Mrs H C Symmes on Some quaint corners of the world. Committee members are Mrs J B Perrine and Mrs F A Brown.
Mrs. Ella A. Boole president of the New York state W C T U will deliver a lecture at the First Church on Sunday April 26 under Cranbury W C T U auspices.
Rev J E Curry and elder R J Gulick of First Presbyterian attended Monmouth Presbytery in Moorestown on Tuesday. Rev F W Wells the new Methodist pastor and his wife received a hearty welcome Friday at the parsonage with a church choir and friends, a reception with music.
The Triangle Tennis Club met on Monday evening and elected President William C Hoffman Vice President Miss Emma L Mershon Secretary David C Lewis and Treasurer Arthur L Burroughs. Work has begun on the court and it will be playable in about two weeks.
Miss Jennie M Hagerty daughter of Mr and Mrs Peter Hagerty Cranbury and James Te were married last night by Father Conway of Hightstown. The bride wore a London smoke tailor made gown with hat to match. They were attended by the groom’s brother and his wife. Tobey will reside with the groom’s parents near Hightstown.
Goodwin’s Band reorganized for the 1914 engagements with I C Hoffman elected leader replacing the late James H Goodwin. Hoffman, long associated with Goodwin, will head the ensemble as it rehearses and books summer shows. Miss Bertha Applegate hosted a Friday evening gathering with games and music. guests included Florence Perrine Charlotte Rogers Bara Perrine Emma Mershon Ethel Cole Margaret Curry Mary Spaulding Olive Fetty Raymond Lawrence Archie Forman Waldo Perrine Rolland Dey Charles Squimes William Hoffman Arthur Burroughs and Dayton Soloist. Grace Dey soprano soloist from Dayton sang at Trenton Third Presbyterian Sunday school Easter program. Her pieces included The Strife Is Oer and As It Began to Dawn. M P Chamberlin of Hightstown plans to build a theatre on Main Street if a suitable site is secured.

Shortly after midnight Sunday a large barn belonging to Harvey Hutchinson in South Cranbury burned. Two horses were saved, wagons and carriages injured, and harness, hay, straw, and implements destroyed. Loss about $1,000 with insurance settled satisfactorily Wednesday via C. H. Moore agency.
Andrew B Corzine a longtime Cranbury visitor died suddenly at his Hopewell home on Sunday morning. A retired farmer he moved from Blawenburg to Hopewell three years ago and is survived by a widow. Funeral conducted at his home with interment in Blawenburg.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Sarah E. Mount wife of Mount Dey of Rhode Hall at her home. The Rev. Samuel J. McClenaghan of Princeton conducted the rites. Interment followed in the Second Presbyterian church cemetery Cranbury under the auspices of J. Laird Hulse. Mrs Dey died last Wednesday after three months of illness at Mercer hospital Trenton.
The funeral followed a Tuesday death after a long illness. Rev William D Parry preached at the M E church with a large gathering. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery under Poulson and Coleman. Everett was son of Thomas S Everett and nephew of Isaac S Everett.
I Howard Bergen son of the late William G Bergen a Mercer County judge and farmer sustained a severe injury while planting potatoes. He stopped to remove a stone from the fertilizer apartment when the team began moving the machine caught his hand and his second finger on the right hand was amputated with the ligament drawn out. He was taken to St Francis hospital in Trenton where the finger was removed and he is recovering at home.
A local village urges V I B members to pay annual dues to fund improvements including a improved fire alarm and enforcements against roaming dogs. The appeal recalls past demonstrations and honors veterans, urging a united effort to show patriotism and support for public safety.
