Miner Kil Kimberley Buried After Fatal Mine Accident
Funeral held Sunday for Fritz Stromberg of Kimberley a miner who died a week earlier in a Sullivan mine accident. Knights of Pythias lodge conducted the service with Rev MacKay officiating. Coroner ruled death from drilling into a powder cutoff hole accidental with no blame assigned. Mine inspector Robert Strachan attended the inquest in Kimberley.

The three storey hospital addition, nearly finished at a cost near thirty thousand dollars, has the heating and electrical work nearing completion. Builder Geo R Leask reports first floor ready for extra nurse quarters while upper floors await use. The new plant includes two low pressure boilers and a high pressure steam boiler with forced circulation ensuring warmth in all rooms. Calgary firms supplied heating and electrical installations and a full system test was conducted this week.

Foresters Dance For Charity Draws Good Crowd
Ancient Order of Foresters held a Friday whist drive and dance at Knights of Pythias hall to raise funds for a Christmas tree for Foresters children. Robinson orchestra impressed. refreshments served. event supported St Hugene Hospital and featured local talent from the Gyros with notable success.

Skivinski Trio member Barberis announced his departure for the Old Country to star in a two actor sketch The Newly weds. A tribute address praised Hogg and presented a gold Eversharp pen and pencil.

Nine Year Old Girl Injured In Icy Hay Balade Accident
Miss Edna Barclay of Marysville, nine, slipped on an icy road while handling hay. She was rushed to Cranbrook where doctors found a shoulder arm fracture. She returned home the following Thursday afternoon after treatment by Dr. Green.
