William Edmund Haslam, a longtime CP Rail conductor born in St Thomas, dies after a Friday train accident near Tochty Ireland Creek. An inquest by Coroner Dr MacKinnon yielded few facts, with services at Christ Church and a large funeral cortege. Local resident dies after horse kicks abdomen
David Bert Moore 53, a Cranbrook resident of 22 years, died Friday morning at St Eugene Hospital from injuries after a horse kicked him in the abdomen. He leaves a widow, seven brothers and one sister, mother, and two sons and five daughters. Funeral held Monday at 20 with Rev. B C Freeman officiating. Orange Lodge members and pallbearers named.
