Word comes from Victoria of the death there this week at the age of eighty four of Mr. William Fernie after whom the well known city in the Crow was named. To him is ascribed the original discovery of the coal fields in that section, the development of which has meant much to this part of the province.
A drugstore product named Freezone claims to instantly numb and remove corns with a tiny bottle sold for a few cents. It targets hard corns soft corns and those between toes without soreness or irritation.
The jury found Billy Chinouard guilty of manslaughter and Charlie Chinouard pleaded guilty to a reduced charge, receiving seven years. Adrian the young Indian got 28 months at Jokalle Farm for horse stealing. In a burglary case Nicholson was found guilty of theft on one count and H W Herchmer defended. Mr Justice Murphy condemned whiskey theft during prohibition, sentencing two years on each count, to run concurrently. Maleski of Michel faced manslaughter for firing at a constable. the judge noted hostility to foreigners and impending consequences.

Creditors and claimants of Rudolf Olson late of Benton Alberta who died December 14 1918 must file full verified statements of claims and securities with The Trusts and Guarantee Company Limited by May 31 1921 The Public Administrator will distribute assets after that date to those with filed or known claims dated April 27 1921
