Passes Away In Lonely Shack
Ole Benson a well known local character died at 62 in his isolated Perry Creek cabin. After a four day snowbound trek by friends Gus Theis Isaac Burtch and Adam Wise his body was returned to town on Saturday. Benson had long worked as a trapper and prospector in the district and left little trace of relatives or letters. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon with Rev F W Harrison officiating.

One of the largest BC lumber orders was closed in Vancouver when the Canadian Overseas Trading Co signed to supply an Alexandria firm representing the government of Egypt with twenty four million feet of railway ties.
