First annual Wilmer curling bonspiel ends with shared prizes

The inaugural curling bonspiel in the Wilmer district concluded last week with equal prizes for Golden and local rinks. GTP to Let Calgary Macleod and Lethbridge Contracts

Advices indicate Grand Trunk Pacific will let the Calgary Macleod and Calgary Lethbridge line contracts on March 1. Only grading work will be contracted now, with all contractors delayed until fall. GT P plans to enter Lethbridge via the overhead bridge and connect with CPR at Macleod branch west of the viaduct. A union station project is also planned, with local contractors expecting sub contracts in two weeks.

Dominion Customs Revenue Seen Rise At End Of March

Ottawa reports Canada’s fiscal year ending March will likely show a revenue increase from 13.5 to 14.0 million dollars. For the month ending February 24 receipts totaled 77,716,160.54 dollars, up from 61,804,301.55 a year earlier, with February contributing 7,117,908.16 dollars.
