Nelson Prospectors Seek Credit From Govt On Shipments

Government auditors visit city firms this week
G H Code of Ottawa and J W Henderson of Vancouver have been in the city and district examining local firms returns and helping determine sales and other taxes. Code can obtain Ottawa rulings by wire and has issued fourteen thousand exempted lines. He said sales tax revenue could reach 150 million dollars this fiscal year and will also handle excise tax on liquor in bond held by the provincial government, a levy of about a half to three quarters of a million dollars. Code left for Yahk and will confer with Alberta officials on Sunday.
