Tourist Killed On Banff Windermere Road By His Car
A 16 year old tourist died when a windstorm toppled a tree onto a car near the Banff Windermere road. The crash occurred as travelers from Olds Alberta to Victoria B C sheltered in a cut bank after fallen trees halted traffic. Dr MacKinnon, near the scene, declared life extinct within minutes. An inquest was deemed unnecessary by the coroner. Steps will be taken to clear the right of way to prevent a repetition.
