Marysville Dance Opens Falls View Hotel Occasion
An inaugural Falls View hotel dance in Marysville drew a special Cranbrook train crowd from Kim, Kerley, and the Smelter City. Guests enjoyed formal gowns, cloak rooms, a large dining room, waltzes, two steps, and a closing Home Sweet Home waltz as out-of-town guests departed.

Marysville Notes from the Marysville Tribune
Marysville notes describe contractor activity by Leask and others on contracts near the smelter, a spur line linking to the Sullivan mine, and scrapers moved from Phoenix to Marysville. The Fall's View hotel opens in town with fine dining, bar, and rooms, while a North Star branch coach boosts travel. A town meeting seeks a board of trade and Marysville anxiously wants a station and agent. The region notes emigration from the United States to Canada and BC mining drawing settlers to Canadian farms.
