John A. Currie, a Moyie Lumber Co mill worker, was run over by a freight train between midnight and 1 am near Moyie. His body, mangled, was found about 8 am and an inquest set. Currie, a McGill student who studied medicine, may have dozed on the track near the siding. the train likely passed over him after a fall asleep episode.
