Strong Packing Advised for POW Parcels to Germany

The British and Canadian postal services warn that parcels sent to prisoners of war in Germany arrive damaged due to weak packing. Thin boxes and single sheets of paper fail to protect contents. Parcels should be very strongly packed and contents lightly cushioned to prevent movement during transit.
