Sad Accident Kills Three Year Old in Lethbridge
From Lethbridge comes word of a sad fatality Monday near five o clock when three year old Frank Baker was run over and killed in the presence of his mother Mrs. Fred Baker. The child broke from his mother while she wheeled a carriage with a baby and was crushed under the vehicle as the driver waited to cross at the street junction. He died shortly after being taken to a doctor.

Freight Rates Cut On Livestock In Canada Pac Rly Tariffs
Montreal Auge 12 The freight rates on livestock will be reduced to pre war levels when the new tariffs of the Canadian Pacific Railway take effect Monday next. The transportation bureau of the Board of Trade reports a 6 percent cut from last January and a 26 percent drop from the 30 percent rise granted a year ago. Reductions apply to livestock with higher but still lower-than-before rates for horses, mules and ponies. The move aims to aid farmers shipping stock to Montreal and may slightly ease market prices.
