Illi nois Fraction official on Hen Hur extension prospects
In a Monday visit, Mr. Glover agent for the Illinois Fraction system declined TTS involvement in extending the Hen Hur traction line from Crawfordsville to Danville citing cost and feasibility. He favored a Hillsboro Veedersburg Covington route along Big Four tracks as the only practical option if extension proceeds, noting river bridge costs could reach 100 000 per mile and that receiver constraints make extension unlikely without new ownership. He added ITS support would grow if extension connects two large midwestern interurban systems.
