Arthur Blue lost control of a buggy when his horse bolted on Wednesday noon. The hold back strap broke and the horse dashed along Liberty Street into the square. Blue, one handed, was jolted onto the brick pavement but emerged unhurt after stopping the frightened animal. The incident damaged the rack opposite the New York store and disrupted a shipment of ladies and childrens shoes at J Loebs Stores.

Dan Patch the world champion pacer and Indiana horse will pace an exhibition mile at the State Fair on Wednesday September 13. The Indiana horse, owned by M W Savage of Minneapolis, was bred by Dan R Messner Jr of Oxford Indiana and reached 1 56 for a mile in October 1904 at Memphis. The public in Indiana will have a rare chance to see Dan Patch in action at the fair.

David Gephart, a well known Danville tailor born and raised in the city, died of consumption at his Baldwin street home at 3 45 Sunday morning. He was 32 and survived by a family. A Spanish War veteran who had resided in Danville two years, his remains were prepared at Turner Learnard Son undertaking and shipped home for interment at Mt Hope Cemetery at 2 30 p m.

Wanted at Attica arrest over saloon fraud in Milford
John Sheridan was arrested by detective Halls on a warrant sworn by S B McMillan charging him with falsely representing ownership of a saloon in Attica Indiana to obtain a Milford restaurant valued at 1800. He waived examination in Justice Allen Grant's court, was bound over, released on 800 bonds, and later faced another warrant for fleeing a perjury charge. Sheridan was sent back to Attica to face the perjury charge.
