Granville Belfall Adkins born September 19 1860 died November 18 1905 aged 45 years 1 month 26 days. He married Grace Allen on November 7 1886 who survives him. He was the eldest son of Nashville Adkins and both parents are deceased. Two brothers William T and Alien N and one sister Mrs Olive Groves survive. Funeral services held at 2 p m at the family residence conducted by Rev J A Palmer with interment at Mt Hope cemetery. He served as rural carrier on route 3 and was a respected local figure.

Veedersburg Young Man Found Dead After Overexertion
William Cartwright of Veedersburg was found dead in a livery barn Sunday morning. The coroner ruled heart disease as the cause, saying hemorrhages began after a ball game last summer. He had slept on the barn floor and was awakened to drive a team before dying. A minor head wound prompted initial foul play concerns, which were dismissed.

Settlement talks reach final stage in Sherrick debt case
