Better Not Fish and Penalties in New State Law
The new fish law bans fishing from May through June to protect the spawning period, penalties include one to three years for dynamiting. Trot lines with up to fifty hooks allowed. bass under nine inches and crappies and black bass under six inches must be released. Fines for fishing in May or June range from 5 to 50 dollars.
